LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — It was a long journey, but Husker season is finally here. With that in mind, officials are reminding fans to stop the spread, while changing ‘Go Big Red.’

University of Nebraska- Lincoln (UNL) Chancellor Ronnie Green tweeting out that “COVID-19 will not take a break. Not for a Husker football watch party” asking the community to finish this season strong.

We must remember: COVID-19 will not take a break. Not for a Husker football watch party ignoring recommended health guidelines. Not for a night at a crowded bar. Let’s all stay vigilant and finish our semester on campus strong.

Instead of risking a night out at the bars, the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) recommends ‘homegating’ for Husker games.
