Homemade bunny hats donated to NICU babies at Children’s Hospital in Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Around 40 homemade bunny hats were donated to babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Children’s Hospital in Omaha on Friday.

The hats were donated by a community member in celebration of Easter.

It makes it feel more like a ‘normal’ holiday even though their baby is in the hospital, and they might not be celebrating like they usually do,” Dr. Nicole Birge said.

Children’s Hospital in Omaha is the only Level IV NICU in the region.
