Homicide suspect arraignment rescheduled for tomorrow

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — On Tuesday evening, Lincoln Police Department (LPD) arrested Tyler Benzel, 37, of Lincoln on charges of first-degree murder.

Benzel’s arraignment was scheduled for this morning at 2 p.m.

Around the time of the arraignment was scheduled to commence, it was announced it was rescheduled. The arraignment is now tomorrow, Sept 18. at 2 p.m.

No reason was given for the schedule change. Channel 8 will be at Benzel’s first court appearance tomorrow.
