Hot again Tuesday with a chance for strong storms
There is a Heat Advisory in place for Tuesday afternoon. The heat index will approach 105 at times.
This will be a short lived heat wave, so it’ll still be hot on Tuesday, but we’ll cool off by the middle of the week. There are several chances for storms, as well.
It will slowly but surely cool off tonight. We’ll drop into the middle 70s by early Tuesday.
The heat index will still be very warm, though. Through early evening, it’ll be a handful of degrees warmer than the actual temperature.
We warm back up for Tuesday, but it won’t be quite as hot as Monday was!
While it cools off a little bit, we toss in a chance for strong to severe storms, as well. Late afternoon and evening may see some isolated cells pop with the potential for large hail, damaging wind, and a tornado or two. Below is what our StormCast weather model is showing for storms on Tuesday.
Because of the storm potential Tuesday, the SPC has us in a level 1 and 2 “Marginal” and “Slight” Risk for severe storms.
