Hot couple of days
It’s going to be hot the next couple of days, so we need to prepare for the heat headed our way. The Heat Risk is “Moderate” for Friday. (what this means is explained a couple of graphics down.)
On Saturday, the heat remains in place for eastern Nebraska.
A “Moderate” heat risk means that the heat is tolerated by many, but there is some risk for the general population who are exposed to the sun for longer periods of time. In other words, don’t stay in the direct sun for too long and stay hydrated!
We will get into the 90s on Friday, which is well above average.
The dew point will be right around 60, so the heat index won’t be much of an issue. It’ll still be hot, though!
After a spot shower early Friday, much of the day will be partly cloudy and a little breezy.
After a couple of 90s, we’ll see the 80s for highs through mid week, then the 70s heading into next weekend.
