Hot weather continues
There’s no way around it, it’s hot. And it’s going to stay that way for a while. We do “cool off” for the weekend, but we’ll still be in the 90s for highs. The middle 90s come back for the first half of next week. The 80s for highs are in the forecast, but not for quite a while.
Before we get to the heat, we do have a chance at some severe weather tonight. A frontal boundary will push from west to east this evening and a couple of storms may become strong to severe. Hail and damaging wind will be the main concerns, especially before sunset.
For Thursday, it’s going to be HOT. We’ll start the day in the middle 70s and end up around 100 by the mid afternoon.
Upper 90s and lower 100s is expected for much of the viewing area Thursday.
The dewpoint will be a little cooler on Thursday, but it’s still going to give us that muggy feel to the day.
Because of the very hot temperatures and high dewpoints, the heat index will be well into the 100s.
These hot and humid temperatures continue through Friday before a cold front moves through and “cools” us of a bit for Saturday.
