Husker Bekka Allick named Big Ten Freshman of the Week again
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska middle blocker Bekka Allick was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week again on Monday.
The standout helped the Huskers to two straight sweeps last week against Purdue and Illinois.
The Waverly graduate has played very well recently, averaging 3.17 kills per set with a .548 hitting percentage.
She had a career-best 12 kills, along with four blocks, in last week’s win over the Boilermakers.
On Saturday, Allick recorded seven kills on .462 hitting with a block and an ace against the Fighting Illini.

The freshman is averaging 2.68 kills per set with a .542 hitting percentage over her last six matches.
On the season, she has 116 kills, 32 digs, 61 blocks and 154.5 points.
