Husker volleyball ranked No. 5 in preseason poll

Nebraska was ranked No. 5 in the preseason AVCA poll on Monday. The Huskers received one first place vote. 

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska volleyball team is set to open the season in a few weeks and the Huskers are already receiving some national attention.

Wisconsin is ranked No. 1 following by Texas, Stanford and Kentucky, respectively. There are six Big Ten teams in the rankings, including four in the top 10.

Creighton checks in at No. 15.

The Huskers open the season at Indiana on Friday, Jan. 22. Starting times have yet to be announced.
