Huskers reel in conference-high 117 Academic All-Big Ten awards

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Big Ten Conference on Wednesday announced its Fall Academic All-Big Ten awards between football, volleyball, soccer and cross country.
According to the conference, the Huskers brought home 117 awards, a league high.
NU’s honorees included a conference-high 81 football players, along with 13 cross country runners, 14 soccer players and nine volleyball players.
On the football side, Michael Booker III, Derek Branch, Marques Buford, Turner Corcoran and Heinrich Haarberg all earned the honor for the fourth time in their careers.
Janiran Bonner, Justin Evans, Malcolm Hartzog, Emmett Johnson, Luke Lindenmeyer, Henry Lutovsky, Roman Mangini, Dylan Parrot, Teddy Prochazka and Gage Stenger were all recognized for the third time.
Taylor Landfair led the volleyball team with her fifth Academic All-Big Ten award, while Rebekah Allick and Maisie Boesiger each grabbed their third.
For the soccer team, Reagan Raabe logged her fifth honor and Cece Villa earned her fourth.
Lauryn Anglim, Ella Guyott, Emma Prososki and Sadie Waite were all honored for the third time.
Zoie Ecord, Alea Hardie and Grant Wasserman each grabbed their third honor for the cross country teams.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, have been enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
