PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Gas prices in Rhode Island are up once again.

AAA Northeast said that the price for a gallon of gas is up 10 cents from last week, averaging $3.35.

“Gas prices are up as crude oil prices have risen to levels not seen since mid-November thanks to expectations that cooling inflation will spike demand in the United States and China’s economy bounces back from COVID-related shutdowns,” said Diana Gugliotta, director of public affairs for AAA Northeast.

Rhode Island’s average gas price is 7 cents lower than the national average.

According to AAA Northeast, the current average price for a gallon of gas in Massachusetts is $3.37, while Connecticut drivers are seeing a price of $3.28.
