MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Aquidneck Island Police Parade Board held its 38th Aquidneck Island National Police Parade on Sunday.
The parade honored the 245 police officers that lost their lives in the line of duty in 2022, the board said.
They specifically mentioned Bristol, Conn. Sgt. Dustin Demonte and Officer Alex Hazmy and Mass. State Trooper Tamar Bucci.
The board also honored honorary members Retired Chief Gary Silva of the Newport Police Department, and Providence Police Department Retired Colonel Hugh Clements.
