Central Falls police chief chosen as top 20 finalist in Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s 2022 Citizens Honor award
CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — A big nomination for the Central Falls Police Department.
Central Falls Police Col. Anthony Roberson is a top 20 finalist for the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s 2022 Citizens Honor award.
Roberson was chosen out of 200 nominations by previous recipients.
The award is given every year to citizens recognized by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society for their extraordinary actions whether it be a single brave act or through service to others.
“These acts of courage and self-sacrifice symbolize the American spirit, and are recognized every year on National Medal of Honor Day by our nation’s greatest heroes — our Medal of Honor Recipients,” said the society. “The honorees receive this award from a group of Americans whose actions have defined the words courage and selfless service — the living members of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society.”
The awards will be presented in July.
