DIGHTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Almost a day after heavily tactical FBI agents converged at a Dighton home to arrested Jack Teixeira, that area is now cleared, police said.
Chief Shawn Cronin said Maple, Sesame, and Wheeler streets are now open to all traffic.
Teixeira, who’s a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, was arrested Thursday for allegedly leaking highly classified military documents.
The leak is believed to have started on a site called Discord, a social media platform popular with people playing online games and where Teixeira is believed to have posted for years about guns, games and his favorite memes.
Friday, the suspect appeared in federal court in Boston to face charges under the Espionage Act. He was ordered to be held until a detention hearing next week.
