Here are 4 Providence sites for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — This weekend is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. So, in an effort to reduce overdose deaths in Providence, Mayor Brett Smiley said there will be four drug take-back sites throughout the capital city.
“[National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day] helps reduce the risks these medications pose for families in our City,” said Smiley. “I encourage everyone to visit their nearest take-back site for their safe disposal.”
Residents can dispose expired or unused medication this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The four locations are: Walgreens Pharmacy at 533 Elmwood Ave., Walgreens Pharmacy at 295 Academy Ave., Providence Public Safety Complex at 325 Washington St., and at Roger Williams Park — Broad Street entrance.
