NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Peter Pan Bus Lines will offer service from New Bedford to Boston starting Tuesday, Massachusetts Rep. Tony Cabral (D-New Bedford) said.
The initial Monday to Friday schedule includes one morning bus to Boston with stops at South Station and Boston Logan International Airport and one evening bus coming back.
Cabral thanked the company for “stepping up” amid DATTCO announcing that it will cancel its South Coast to Boston express bus line on Sunday.
DATTCO said the decision was made following a decline in ridership and resulting profit losses.
Cabral and other state leaders have been determined to help commuters find alternative options.
Peter Pan Bus Lines said it may be able to offer more service on the route in the future.
