WATCH: Fallen officers from R.I., Bristol County Mass. honored during national vigil

WASHINGTON D.C. (WLNE) — The 34th Annual Candlelight Vigil for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial took place Friday night.

As part of the ceremony, 619 fallen officers names were read who were added to the memorial wall this year.

Three officers were from Bristol County and one was from Rhode Island:

Ptl. John Borges, Taunton Police Department

Sgt. Michael Cassidy, New Bedford Police Department

Det. Sgt. Stephen Desfosses, North Police Department

Lt. Russell Freeman, Rhode Island Department of Corrections
