Khalil Davis is headed to the NFL.

The longtime Husker defensive lineman was selected by the Tampa Bay Bucs with the 194th pick in the sixth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday.

He is the first Husker selected in the draft and first selected since 2018.

Davis finished with a career-high 45 tackles – the most among NU’s defensive linemen – and he led Nebraska with 8.0 sacks and 12 TFLs. He was a third-team All-Big Ten pick by the coaches last year.
Davis was also a four-year letterwinner in track and field for the Big Red.
