Lancaster County COVID-19 update

Another resident of Lancaster County has died from the virus.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Officials with the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) report an COVID-19 death.

Overall, a total of 119 deaths have been recorded.

The deceased has been identified as a woman in her 70s who was hospitalized.

Officials also announced 117 new cases today, bringing the community total to 19,762.

The county is reporting 5,788 people have recovered from COVID-19.

Statewide, 759 Nebraskans are currently hospitalized from the virus. The positivity rate in Lancaster County so far this week is 26.3%.
