Lancaster County reaches record high for COVID-19 cases

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Thursday, Lancaster County reported 108 confirmed cases of COVID-19, a new record single-day high.

Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) announced that this substantial number of positives brins the community total to 4,308. The number of deaths in the community remains at 20.

As for recoveries, Lancaster County reports 1,876.

The positivity rate has raised from seven percent to 7.1 percent in the county.

 At our local hospitals, 30 patients are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, eight of them are Lancaster County residents.
