Lancaster County resident dies at home with COVID-19

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Friday, Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) announced another COVID death, bringing the community total to 221.
The individual was identified as a man in his 80s who died at home.
Forty-five new COVID-19 cases were also confirmed today, bringing the community total to 28,086.

More than 13,300 people have recovered from the virus, with more than 76,800 vaccines administered.
This week’s positivity rate is 20.8%.

Thirty-seven COVID patients are currently hospitalized (22 are Lancaster County residents).
