Lancaster County sees more than 140 COVID deaths total

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Officials with the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) report four new COVID deaths in the community, with the total now at 141.

The individuals were identified as a man in his 60s and two women in their 70s and 80s who were in long-term care facilities, and a man in his 90s who was hospitalized.

Additionally, 189 new lab-confirmed cases were reported, bringing the community total to 21,295.

The county is reporting 6,307 people have recovered from COVID-19. While the weekly positivity rate is 26%.

As of today, 90 individuals are hospitalized with COVID-19 (53 from Lancaster County). A total of eight people were on ventilators.
