Last frigid day of the week before warmer temps return 1/20/2022

We are off to another bitter frigid start this morning with temperatures hovering around zero degrees and wind chill values around -15 to -20 degrees below zero. Please take this dangerously cold weather seriously, and try to find a warm way for your kids to go to school. If they have to walk or wait from the bus stop, make sure they have all of their skin covered since frost bite can settle in quickly. Temperatures won’t warm up much later today, as highs will only reach the low to upper teens today. While it will be another cold day, at least we will have more sunshine! Clear skies stick around into overnight tonight, and temperatures plunge below zero again with wind chill values near -10 degrees. The cold start won’t last long for your Friday though, because temperatures warm near seasonal to highs in the low 30s by the afternoon. This warming trend continues into Sunday before another arctic blast arrives next Tuesday.
