LFR battles garage fire in southeast Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews battled an early Monday morning house fire in freezing temps and strong winds.

LFR responded to the fire at a home near 63rd Street and Tanglewood Lane, just north of Old Cheney Road, at around 2:45 a.m.

A Channel 8 reporter at the scene said heavy smoke was seen coming from the home’s garage.

Crews also appeared to be putting out hot spots inside the garage.

The cause of the fire and the total amount of damage are unknown.
