LFR fights house fire in northeast Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Firefighters battled a house fire in northeast Lincoln on Thursday evening.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded about 6 p.m. to a home near 50th Street and Leighton Avenue.

LFR said crews were able to put out the fire quickly.

There were no injuries, but the house is unlivable, according to LFR.

Investigators say the blaze started in a bedroom.

The cause was electrical, LFR said, and there was about $60,000 in damage.
