LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – UPDATE: Lincoln Fire and Rescue has the house fire under control.

LFR Battalion Chief Bob Watton told Channel 8 they received a call to the house shortly after 6:00 p.m. on a structure fire. The caller said somebody might’ve been trapped in the house.

LFR arrived at the scene and had found the person had made it out of the house safely. Watton says LFR battled the fire for about 15 minutes, with the wind making it more difficult to extinguish the flames.

The reporter on the scene says the damage looked severe but LFR doesn’t currently have an estimate for the damages. LFR is unsure of what caused the fire but they believed it started from the back of the house.
