Lincoln East boys soccer punches ticket to state tournament with win over Southwest
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln East boys soccer team won Wednesday night in a shootout over Lincoln Southwest in the District A-1 final.
The Spartans tied things up in the second half when Admir Mujkic put up a strong corner kick, then Aidan Nachi came through with the header goal to tie the game at 1.
The game was full of drama and ended in backup goalkeeper, Colin Nehe, scoring the winning goal in a sudden death shootout.
They advance to the state soccer tournament, which begins on Wednesday, May 10.
