Lincoln immigration services center cutting nearly 200 employees in another round of layoffs
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nearly 200 immigration workers in Lincoln will be losing their jobs in another round of layoffs at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Center.
According to ITC Federal — a company that employs contract workers to help with immigration services — it will lay off 192 employees at its Nebraska Service Center.
In a letter to the Nebraska Department of Labor on Thursday, the company said the last day for those employees will be Nov. 30.
The company previously laid off 140 employees in January.
