Lincoln liquor store helps out furry neighbors from Capital Humane Society

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A local liquor store held a fundraiser on Thursday to help out its furry friends across the street at the Capital Humane Society.

The Still near 70th Street and Highway 2 hosted the event, where people got to come to taste local beers, malts, ciders and seltzers.  Polish dogs were also provided to eventgoers.

The event lasted from 5 to 8 p.m. and came with a $10 admission fee.  All proceeds will go to the Capital Humane Society.

“We’re holding this event as a benefit for the Capital Humane Society right across the road over there,” said Ben Wolzen, a manager at the Still.  “Love to do it. They do good for our community, and we try to do good for our community.”

Of course, fluffy friends from the shelter were in attendance.  They got to enjoy the company, while also getting some belly rubs.
