Lincoln man sentenced for over 850 child pornography pictures and videos

Polyansky

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man is going to prison after he was caught with hundreds of child pornography files.

Daniel Polyansky, 34, was sentenced Monday to 7½ years in prison with a seven-year term of supervised release.

He will be required to register as a sex offender and pay $39,000 in restitution to the victims of this case.

In September 2022, the Nebraska State Patrol discovered an IP address that Polyansky subscribed to.

This IP address had videos of children being sexually abused.

A search warrant allowed troopers to look through Polyansky’s apartment.

They met him in the parking lot, and he was “noncommittal” about whether there was child pornography on his devices, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

When investigators entered his apartment, there was a child pornography video playing on his laptop.

So they went back outside and arrested Polyansky on state charges.

The laptop and his cellphone were later searched, and 398 videos and 456 images of child pornography were found.
