Lincoln man sentenced to 15 years imprisonment after second child pornography conviction
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man has been convicted to 15 years imprisonment for receipt of child pornography.
Jeffrey Ehlers, 67, had previously been convicted on Nov. 27, 2019 of one count of receipt of child pornography. He was sentenced to seven years incarcerated and 12 years supervision following his release. He was on supervised release when the second occurrence happened.
In November 2025, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Orlando was investigating another individual. They determined their individual had sent child pornography to Ehlers through an online account. The case was then given to HSI in Nebraska.
A preliminary review of Ehlers’ online account revealed numerous files of minor females.
Investigators issued a search warrant on Dec. 16, 2025 where they seized three electronic devices from Ehlers’ residence.
When a forensic review was completed, investigators determined Ehlers had 330 child pornography files located across all three devices.
After his 15 year imprisonment, Ehlers will begin a lifetime term of supervised release.
Ehlers has also been ordered to pay $2,000, which will go towards funds established for victims of these type of cases.
