Lincoln shoplifter on the run after smashing liquor bottle into Kwik Shop worker’s head

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department is searching for a shoplifter who attacked an employee early Tuesday morning.

We’re told this happened at the Kwik Shop near 56th and Holdrege Streets, around 1:11 a.m.

The 34-year-old worker says a younger male came in, grabbed a liquor bottle and attempted to walk out with it.

When the employee tried stopping him, they were hit in the head multiple times with the same bottle.

Right now there is no description of the shoplifter other than he’s either in his late teens or early 20s.

The employee was taken to a hospital and treated for a laceration to the head.

LPD says the stolen alcohol was worth $22.49.
