Lincoln Weather Update: Saturday, May 9

A strong cold front sweeps through this evening, leaving blustery conditions in its wake. Winds out of the northwest at 10-20mph could gust up to 30mph overnight. Mostly clear skies will help our temperatures plummet into the mid 30s, prompting a FREEZE WARNING for the central portion of the state until 9am Sunday.

Mother’s Day will start on a chilly note and remain cool as temperatures will only rise into the upper 50s. However, high pressure sweeps in, giving way to an abundance of sunshine. North-northwesterly winds will remain breezy and gust up to 30mph throughout the day. A small chance of isolated showers are possible overnight. Thanks to clear skies, temperatures will drop into the low 30s, potentially giving way to another Freeze Warning.
