Lincoln woman gets prison in sexual assaults of three children

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 21-year-old Lincoln woman was sentenced Wednesday for her role in the sexual abuse of three children.
Sahara Williams got 19 to 20 years in prison for second-degree sexual assault of a child and three years for child abuse.
Lancaster County District Court Judge Matthew Mellor ordered Williams to serve those sentences consecutively but also gave her credit for about two years already spent behind bars.
She could be eligible for parole in nine years.

In May 2023, a woman flagged down a police officer and reported that Williams and Maurice Thomas were sexually assaulting her three daughters.
The victims were 8, 9 and 10 at the time, according to court documents.
Police said Williams assaulted two of the girls and aided Thomas in assaulting the third.
Thomas was found guilty of first-degree sexual assault of a child, third-degree sexual assault of a child, possession of child pornography and visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct of a minor.
He was sentenced in November to more than 200 years in prison.
Williams was initially facing first-degree sexual assault of a child and third-degree sexual assault of a child, but those counts were reduced under a plea deal.
