Gov. Ricketts gives an update on vaccines in Nebraska

- 690,000 vaccines have been distributed in Nebraska
- RICKETTS: NE is #5 in the country for targeting ‘vulnerable populations’
- around 71% of those 65 years+ in NE have been vaccinated – Ricketts
- starting Monday state-wide NE will be going to phase 2 (50-64 years old)

- NE received funding from FEMA for the vaccine effort
- Nebraska’s state tax deadline has been pushed back to May 17, to match the new IRS.

- In general, Ricketts says vaccines in Nebraska are for those who live in Nebraska. You can’t come from another state and get vaccinated, this is called ‘vaccine tourism’.
