WATCH: Lincoln Mayor’s coronavirus press conference

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Following the Governor’s press conference earlier this afternoon, Lincoln’s Mayor and local health department update the community on coronavirus cases in the county.

Today, the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) reports two more coronavirus deaths, bringing the community total to 66. Since Sunday, the county seen eight deaths.

The individuals who passed today are a woman in her 90’s and a man in his 70’s who were both hospitalized.

184 new confirmed cases of coronavirus were also reported today, bringing the community total to 14,006.

Recoveries are up from 4,835 to 4,878.

A total of 169 people are hospitalized with the virus (65 from Lancaster County). A total of 18 patients are on ventilators.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, shortness of breath, repeated shaking with chills, repeated muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell.
