LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Congressman Don Bacon addresses the current protests in D.C.

According to Rep. Bacon, the joint-session will likely progress once the Capitol is cleared out.

Rep. Bacon says violent protests and vandalism are shameful. But, he believes today’s actions stem from “pressure that’s been building for years.”

Although he doesn’t politically agree with President-elect Joe Biden, Rep. Bacon says “I respect our elections. I respect our rule of law.”
