LPD: 12-inch knife, suspected meth found in traffic stop

Lincoln Police arrested two people after a 12-inch knife and suspected meth were found in their vehicle.
On Tuesday, Officers pulled over 36-year-old Chad Renker (pictured on the right) for failing to signal a turn. One passenger in the car was identified as 35-year-old Kristi Jindra (pictured on the left). Both are from Lincoln.
This happened around 5:45 p.m. near 21st and O streets.
During the stop, officers saw two knives on Renker, and a 12-inch knife with a 7-inch blade in the center console. Renker, who is a convicted felon, is forbidden to possess a knife of that size.
Officers then searched the vehicle and found a baggie containing .5 grams of suspected meth and syringes.
Renker was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
Jindra was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
