LPD: Driver leaves after crashing stolen vehicle in northwest Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A two-vehicle crash left a mangled mess in northwest Lincoln late Monday night.

The crash was reported just before 11 p.m. at 11th and Manatt streets.

A Ford Escape was on 11th Street when it was hit by a westbound Honda CR-V.

Both vehicles ended up on the lawn of the home.

The vehicles had heavy damage. There was debris scattered throughout the street.

The driver of the CR-V left the area before officers arrived, according to LPD.  That vehicle was reported stolen.

Police said the driver of the Escape was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
