Authorities are investigating an early morning burglary at a Lincoln convenience store.

Lincoln police officers responded around 2 a.m. Tuesday to the Stop and Shop at 4801 Randolph St.

An employee received an alarm notification around 1:30 a.m. and went to the business to see what was happening, police said. When they arrived, the employee found the front door broken out and items strewn about the business.

Police processed the scene and canvassed the area.

Estimated loss to the business was $730 worth of items including Fireball Whiskey, cigars, cigarettes, vape pens and accessories, and snacks. Estimated damage to the door is $500.
