Authorities arrested a man on drug charges after officers reportedly found nearly two dozen pounds of drugs in his vehicle during a traffic stop Sunday.
Lincoln police officers stopped the vehicle for following too closely near mile marker 394. The driver, 37-year-old Kelvin L. Parker, of California, was following the vehicle in front of him at a distance of less than one second, police said.
A police K9 was already on the scene and conducted a sniff of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up 23 pounds of marijuana in the rear cargo area, police said.
Parker (pictured above) was lodged in Lancaster County Jail for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
