LPD: Man robbed, assaulted in apartment complex

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Police are investigating a robbery that happened inside the victim’s apartment complex.

Early morning Friday, around 12:30, officers arrived at the area of 16th and “D” Streets. The 21-year-old victim says he was approached by two people in his apartment hallway when he heard one man say they were going to take something from him.

The victim reports the robberies ripped off his necklace and punched him in the face. He immediately ran out of the apartment complex and call the police.

Officers say the victim had injuries consistent with the reported assault. The victim later said a Bluetooth speaker was also stolen.
