LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man smashed a large window while being kicked out of The Fat Toad early Saturday morning, injuring a fellow customer.

According to Lincoln police, around 1:00 a.m., officers heard people shouting and glass breaking at The Fat Toad, on O Street.

Due to aggressive behavior, Devion Mitchell, 30, was kicked out of the bar.

As he was being removed, Mitchell became angry and smashed a large glass window, said police.

Officers performed life-saving measures on Mitchell due to excessive bleeding on his arm from severe lacerations.

While officers helped him, Sana Saad, 21, ran toward Mitchell with her fist raised to hit him.  Saad suffered a large cut to her nose caused by the flying glass.

As officers restrained Saad, she spit blood and phlegm into the face of one officer and “wildly flailed in attempts to hit Mitchell,” said police.

Her sister, Hawraa Saad, 23, attempted to push officers away from Saad as she was being arrested.

Mitchell and Sana were taken to a local hospital, Mitchell was checked in for treatment; while Sana was treated and released.

The damage to the window is estimated at $200.  Mitchell was cited on suspicion of assault and vandalism and released.

Sana was arrested on suspicion of assault on a police officer with bodily fluid, third-degree assault, obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest.

Hawraa was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer.
