LPD: Stolen truck used to pry open ATM, no money stolen
Another ATM was damaged by a stolen truck on Saturday, December 6. The ATM had $40,000 worth of damages.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln police say suspected thieves damaged a credit union’s ATM after prying it apart by using a stolen truck.
On Saturday, Lincoln police received a call to the University of Nebraska Credit Union near 301 N 52nd Street before 7 a.m.
LPD says the suspected thieves used the truck to pry open an ATM, causing $25,000 worth of damage. Despite the ATM being damaged, the suspects did not take any money.
The truck used to pry open the ATM had been reported stolen.
Another ATM was damaged on December 6 at Midwest Bank. LPD believes the suspects used a stolen truck to gain access to the ATM, causing $40,000 worth of damages.
Afterward, officers found the stolen truck used at Midwest Bank, running and unoccupied near the 7900 block of Katrina Lane.
LPD says the investigation is currently ongoing for both cases.
