LPD: Two men ‘afraid for their lives’ following gunshots

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — On Sunday, around 2:00 a.m., Lincoln Police were called to the intersection of 13th and O streets on reports of a fight. While investigating this report, officers heard gunshots to their east.
Police saw several cars in the area with bullet holes, while several cars were fleeing. A traffic stop was performed on a car believed to be involved. Two men, a 30-year-old and a 32-year-old were in the car. They stated, while driving on Centennial Mall, there was a group of people gathered in the street. The victim indicated that he revved his engine, then a male from the group pulled out a gun and fired several shots. The victim believe the shots were directed towards him.
The victims said they fled the area, afraid for their lives. Officers located multiple casing in the street, as well as unoccupied parked vehicles damaged by gunfire. Evidence, including video evidence, is currently being reviewed.
