LPD: Walmart employees threatened with machete over a receipt

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Around 4:45 p.m. on Christmas Eve, a man entered Walmart, 3400 N 85th, reportedly waving a machete and threatening to ‘beat the s—‘ out of employees.

Identified as 35-year-old Jeremiah Coleman, the suspect was found in the store by Lincoln Police, agitated about allegedly not receiving a receipt for his purchase of the machete.
Coleman continually threatened to kill employees, all while holding the machete.
Multiple officers negotiated with Coleman for about 40 minutes, eventually able to take him into custody.
According to Lincoln Police, Coleman was found to be a felon and arrested on multiple weapon charges.
