LPS reports highest number of COVID-19 cases this school year
LPS reported 414 weekly cases Friday morning, including 313 students testing positive for the virus.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Public Schools is seeing the most COVID-19 cases its seen since the beginning of the 2021-22 school year.
Friday morning, LPS reported 414 cases in its school district since Sunday, including 313 students testing positive for the virus. That’s more than 100 cases reported in a single day.
Currently, 108 staff members have tested positive with more than 200 in quarantine.
The previous high weekly total was 270, set back in November.
LPS currently has a mask mandate for all faculty, students and staff due to the rise in COVID cases across the state.
