Man caught with cocaine, cash in Lincoln Walmart parking lot, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Wednesday night after he was caught with cocaine in a Lincoln Walmart parking lot, police say.

Around 8:30 p.m., the narcotics task force found 33-year-old Waltrivelish Watson in the parking lot near 84th Street and Nebraska Parkway.

Police said Watson had 5 grams of suspected cocaine and $823 in cash on him.

Officers later served a search warrant at his home and found a semi-automatic rifle, a handgun, 39.9 grams of cocaine, a half-pound of marijuana and $844 in cash.

He was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.

Watson is prohibited from owning firearms because of prior felony convictions.

He has a lengthy criminal history, according to court records.

In 2014, he was found guilty of child enticement after he tried to get a 13-year-old girl into his car.

The in 2018, Watson was going 90 mph on 10th Street in Lincoln when he hit another car, killing a 20-year-old man.

He was sentenced to two years in prison.
