Man died after being pulled out of burning home in Hastings, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man died after being rescued from a house fire in Hastings over the weekend, police said Monday.

Capt. Jason Haase with the Hastings Police Department said an autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the cause of death.

The man, who has not been identified, was pulled out of a burning home near North Briggs Avenue and West Ninth Street on Sunday.

He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.  No one else was inside the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
