Man refused to leave after breaking into east Lincoln home, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man resisted arrest late Tuesday night after he broke into a former acquaintance’s east Lincoln home, police say.
Around 11:30 p.m., a woman reported that 45-year-old Michael Thomas broke into her home near 56th and Van Dorn Streets.
Thomas, who entered the home through a basement window, would not leave, police say.

Officers were eventually able to take Thomas into custody. He was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest (second offense).
Thomas was also cited on suspicion of obstructing a police officer, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and disturbing the peace.
