It was a lucky traffic stop for one Lincoln man who was being held hostage in the SUV police pulled over. It happened around midnight near Highway 2 and 56th. Police pulled the vehicle over after it stopped too far into the middle of the intersection. They say the 5 men inside were acting nervous and they could smell marijuana.

Officers discovered the men were holding a 27-year-old victim hostage who they accused of stealing from them. The victim said he was scared for his life.

Police arrested the driver, 27-year-old Shon Greenfield for false imprisonment. They also arrested 24-year-old Richard Jacobs and 37-year-old Eric Little for terroristic threats and other weapons charges. Police say Jacobs and Little threatened the victim with a gun and machete; they found the gun and five machetes in the vehicle.
